Krispy Kreme’s medical plan options are designed with you in mind. We offer a variety pack of options, designed to meet you where you are. Here’s a quick overview of each.

So how do you choose? It depends on your personal situation. Read about each plan below.

The Kreme Filled OAP Plan

The Kreme Filled OAP plan features the lowest deductible and out-of-pocket maximum of the OAP medical plans. In turn, the paycheck contributions are the highest. It may be the right pick for you if you generally have a lot of medical expenses.

To help cover your medical expenses, consider pairing it with a tax-advantaged Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). These accounts allow you to set aside pretax dollars to pay for eligible medical expenses, like copays and your deductible.

The Sprinkles HSA Plan

The Sprinkles HSA plan offers a lower deductible and out-of-pocket maximum than the Original HSA plan, but your premiums are higher. Of the OAP plans, the Sprinkles HSA falls in the middle for premiums and out-of-pocket payments for medical expenses. You may want Sprinkles if you have a fair amount of medical expenses but you want to take advantage of the tax-saving HSA.

The Original HSA Plan

The Original HSA plan is a Cigna Open Access Plus (OAP) plan. This plan is special because it can be paired with a Health Savings Account (HSA). An HSA is a great way to save on medical expenses, and it’s yours to keep—even if you leave Krispy Kreme. Plus, when you elect the Original HSA Plan, Krispy Kreme will make a contribution to your HSA, even if you decide not to. You’ll get a $250 contribution if you elect employee-only coverage, or a $500 contribution if you elect coverage for you plus one or more family members. Employer contributions are funded on a quarterly basis.

The Mini Plan

The Mini plan is a limited plan. Coverage is not as comprehensive as with the OAP plans, and its network is Symetra.* You are not required to see a provider in the Symetra network. If you do visit a network provider, however, you will receive lower, pre-negotiated rates for services. Services are paid at a flat dollar amount, up to a certain limit.

While your premium rates are less expensive than the Cigna plans, your out-of-pocket costs for services may be more expensive. So, if you have a lot of expenses or if you’re covering a family, the Mini plan may not provide the best savings. This may be a good option for someone with very few medical expenses who may not be able to afford one of the major medical plan options, or for part-time Krispy Kremers who do not have coverage elsewhere.

*Although it provides coverage for medical services, the Mini Plan is not a medical plan. It’s an indemnity plan, with a cash reimbursement for certain services.

Revive Health

ReviveHealth, is a free medical benefit that offers virtual medical care through a convenient member portal. ReviveHealth isn’t meant to replace your medical coverage. It’s an inexpensive and convenient alternative to supplement your coverage. There are no premiums to pay from your paycheck, no deductibles to meet and no copays or coinsurance at the time of service. This benefit is available to all Krispy Kremers—even if you’re enrolled in another medical plan. Here’s how it works:

If you enroll in ReviveHealth, you and covered dependents (legal spouse and dependent children ages 2–26) will have access to virtual primary care. Primary care appointments are available Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Your coverage includes up to 12 virtual primary care visits per member per year as well as 12 care visits per covered child per year.

As a ReviveHealth member, you have access to the following services with no copays, deductibles or out-of-pocket costs:

  • Virtual urgent care. If your need is urgent, ReviveHealth has you covered. Appointments for virtual urgent care visits are available in less than 20 minutes. You and your covered family members have up to 12 urgent care visits per year.
  • Prescription drug and pharmacy care. If your virtual doctor prescribes you a covered medication, it will be processed and delivered to your home within three to five days. You’re eligible for one shipment per month with no copay.
  • Virtual mental health therapy. Appointments are available Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET and are generally able to be scheduled within one to three days. Behavioral therapists are available 24/7 for urgent needs. You have up to 12 therapy visits per year.
  • Virtual endocrinology. Appointments are available Monday-Friday 11 am. to 8 p.m. ET and are typically scheduled within four to seven days. You have up to four visits per year.
  • Virtual dermatology. Virtual visits are available for ages 18+. You may communicate through video, text or email Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET. You have up to 4 dermatology visits per year.
  • Additional health support. If you have other challenges or need assistance accessing food, shelter, transportation, childcare, job training, etc., you can contact the ReviveHealth Customer Care team at 888-220-6650 for help finding the resources and support that you need.
  • Lab testing. If your doctor orders lab work, orders will be sent to the nearest Quest or LabCorp facility, where you can have the lab work completed. Discounts of up to 80% will apply. You can pay for the lab directly, use your HSA or FSA card, or submit the claim to your major medical insurance provider.

Virtual Doctor’s Office Visits

Krispy Kremers can skip the in-person office visit with a Cigna’s telemedicine option. If you’re enrolled in one of Krispy Kreme’s three PPO plans, you can contact MDLIVE for a virtual medical appointment as an alternative to urgent care, the ER or even the doctor’s office. MDLIVE features services like prescribing medication, behavioral health visits and preventive wellness screenings. And the cost is 100% covered by Krispy Kreme. This means that if you’re enrolled in one of Cigna’s medical plans, you can have a telehealth visit at no cost to you!

If you need a prescription, it can be sent directly to your pharmacy—while you’re still in your robe and slippers! Visit MDLIVE to schedule an appointment with a board-certified doctor. Services are available 24/7.

Virtual Visits for the Mini Plan

If you’re enrolled in the Mini plan, you can have up to three free telehealth visits per month. Visit MeMD.net to speak with a medical provider via phone or video.
